The Fountain - Temple : A still from my favourite movie of the moment, The Fountain. As you can see, it's yet another Mayan temple. The Mayans themselves were portrayed in a rather one-dimensional way, but I can hardly find fault with the photo.

Teotihuacan : The ruins of the ancient Mesoamerican city, Teotihuacan, as seen from the Pyramid of the Moon. The large pyramid on the left is the Pyramid of the Sun, and further on, down the Way of the Dead, lies the temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Plumed Serpent. Some day I hope to make a tour of Mesoamerica, and see the remains of this ancient civilisation as it is slowly reclaimed by the Earth,

Not of this Earth : I was bored one evening, so I went searching for Photoshop tutorials. I found one that caught my fancy... and that entailed manipulating one's photo to transform oneself into a visitor.Take me to your interim leader.

Avatar : My school is multicultural, and as such we have an "International Day" every year; students dress in traditional clothing and prepare their culture's choice delicacies. For lack of a more imaginative idea, I dressed in my grandfather's dinner jacket and top hat, which he wore to the opening of the Voortrekker Monument. I hoped to be recognised as an Afrikaner... however, most of the people I spoke to that day commented "I didn't know you were English!", or something similar
